Always like and love yourself. We were meant to be thin - it's our gentic coding.

I hated myself for being thin because it limits me of the things i loved to do.. but then i realized that nothing good will happen if you continue to hate yourself... I felt really happy after i stood up to what i loved then got praised by it... I found out that i can do more things than other people can...

I understand what you mean, Karia. I am AA and was teased because I did not fit the stereotype of a Black woman. I had to deal with a lot of discrimination in society and within my family. There is a reversal of fortune, though, because many of my coo-workers obsess about their wait, telling me how they wish that they looked like me. People should be happy with how they look, but I'd be lying if I told you that I didn't get a kick out of the envy. I hear so many comments about weight.

thanks for making this site!! I'm 22 and have been thin all my life, I'm Hispanic and have to deal with my own family teasing me about being so thin and looking 12 and not fiting the curvy woman stereotype. I luckily have a wonderful boyfriend who lifts me up and reminds me that I'm much more than just the weight! Good to know I'm not alone!!

I have searched the internet for a long time, and now I have found a website with information that I can related. I am a naturally thin woman and I've had to deal with comments about my weight (or the lack there of) all of my life. Discrimination is not a one way street, and as much as I've seen shows about how obese women are discriminated against (which is deplorable), I have never seen attention focused on the discrimination that thin women encounter. Keep up the good work
